Sonar®
The most versatile herbicide for long-term aquatic plant control.
Product Overview
Stop weeds before they take over.
Sonar® is the world’s leading brand of aquatic herbicide for the selective, long-term control of undesirable aquatic vegetation. This innovative herbicide platform is used to manage nuisance and invasive aquatic vegetation, including challenging species such as duckweed, watermeal, hydrilla, coontail, naiad, elodea, and other susceptible floating and submersed weeds. Designed for season-long control programs, Sonar works systemically (controls the whole plant) over time, helping restore open water, improve usability, and support a healthier balance of desirable vegetation.
Because every waterbody behaves differently, Sonar® is available in distinct formulations that allow applicators to match the treatment approach to the site. Liquid Sonar options are well suited for whole-pond or whole-lake treatments and sites with minimal flow. Pellet formulations provide more targeted placement and release options for weed beds, firm or organic sediments, and sites where overspray near sensitive shoreline landscapes is a concern. Sonar Infinity adds a highly concentrated water dispersible granule option for easy handling, lighter transport weight, and flexible program use.
- Long-term systemic control of susceptible aquatic weeds
- Multiple formulations for different waterbody conditions and application styles
- Flexible fit for ponds, lakes, reservoirs, rivers, canals, and managed freshwater systems
- No swimming, fishing, or drinking restrictions when used according to label directions
